
SMB Secured-IT CLIENT ONBOARDING: email / data migration
ONBOARDING OVERVIEW
To give your onboarding process some context, these pages explain the main steps we go through to move you from the current approach you use to log-on and store data, to the SMB Secured-IT approach. We want to use this as an opportunity to be on same page to ensure you and your team are aware of the changes that will take place and avoid any surprises.
THE ONBOARDING PROCESS: EMAIL / DATA MIGRATION
Within the SMB Secured-IT offering, your email, calendar and contact information will be hosted in the Microsoft technology stack (this is included with your Microsoft 365 subscriptions). Email, calendar and contact information that is at a different provider will need to be migrated as part of your onboarding process.
Below describes the process we provide to successfully migrate your organizations email, calendar and contact information. We will work with you to collaboratively schedule start and end dates of your migration.
DURING THE MIGRATION PROCESS
There is no service disruption during the migration
You can continue to work while the data is copied over in the background
During the migration process, the technology used analyzes
All the data that needs to be migrated over
Status of the migration
Verification that all source and destination data match properly
During this process, it is possible some information may appear, disappear and appear again
This is normal and nothing to be concerned about
AFTER THE MIGRATION
When the migration completes, it is necessary to update the email settings in devices you use to access email, calendar and contact information
The links below provide setup instructions for the different options supported under SMB Secured-IT
Programs other than these may work but they are not covered under your service. planOnce your new account is setup, we will have you review, to verify everything looks correct
If things look correct, you are good to go
If things DO NOT look correct, please let us know what you are experiencing, and we will work to resolve any issues
Once all staff members agree everything looks correct, the migration will be considered complete
